The more I write, the more I wish I had just done this from the start.
My PhD program is interesting, and I love what I do, but nothing is more fulfilling than reading positive feedback about my pet project (the thief of stormwell). I decided to take a creative writing course online and I think it’ll help me continue to grow, etc., but sending out a draft and having the person just love it is something I haven’t experienced before. It’s wild.
I’ve come across a plethora of beta readers in the past little bit and I can say there is a RANGE of you guys out there. I appreciate every single one of you and value your feedback immensely! But the nice one always hit a little harder than the more critiquing ones.
But, all of this is to say, I love that my hobby is something others enjoy too. I like to create content and nurture my creativity (after losing it) and it means the ABSOLUTE world that others are encouraging of it.
PLEASE PLEASE apply if you want to beta read (essentially an ARC at this point) before I publish. Like I mentioned earlier, I’m privileged enough that I don’t need to do this for money, so when I price my book, it’ll be the cheapest it can be (kindle unlimited scares me with how strict she is, so idk if I’m going that route quite yet) and I want everyone to be able to enjoy it.
Loves and kisses as always.
